On April 26, 2013, the first workshop for Moldovan Local Public Authorities was held by CIAL. The title of the training was "Capacity-building of Local Public Authorities in applying for external funding"
The event was attended by guests of honour, Ms Svetlana ROGOV, Head of International Relations and Investments Department at the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, Mr Kent Larson, Country Director USAID / Moldova and Mr Tudor Meșina, Director of Agency for Regional Development for Moldova's central region. Guests of honour underlined in their welcome speeches the importance of organizing such workshops for APL in Moldova.  27.04.2013

Workshop on Public Procurements
During April 17 – 18, 2013 representatives of the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova participated at a 2-day workshop on "Public Procurement". The workshop was led by Steen Jensen international expert from Denmark, and Catherine Grib, local expert. The objective was to familiarize LPA representatives from Moldova with the best practices in public procurement, sharing the experiences and capacity building of LPA employees to better manage the process of such an important area as public procurement. 19.04.2013

"Access of vulnerable groups to services of water supply and sanitation" was the theme of the round table that took place at the initiative of the Congress of local Authorities of Moldova on April 17, 2013 in CALM premises. Meeting of CALM representatives with the Speaker of the Parliament of Republic of Moldova Mr. Marian Lupu
On April 16, 2013 CALM Executive Director Mr. Viorel Furdui and CALM Programme Coordinator Mr. Alexandru Osadci met with Parliament Speaker Mr. Marian Lupu. At the meeting was discussed a broad spectrum of topics while the main focus was on Local Public Finance Reform and its unacceptable delay. 17.04.2013

Local Public Authorities from Republic of Moldova are deprived of the right of approval the tariffs for services of water supply and sanitation
On April 11, 2013 within Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova premises was held the meeting of CALM Commission for local public services. The event was organized in the context of registration in the Parliament of the draft law nr. 122 from 18. 03. 2013 with regard to water supply and sanitation and its preparation for approval on first reading. 12.04.2013

Participation of CALM Delegation to the 3rd Assises of Decentralised Cooperation for development in Brussels
During 9-10 April, 2013 the Delegation of Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova headed by CALM President Mrs. Tatiana Badan participated in the work of the 3rd Assises of Decentralised Cooperation for development co-organized by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission in Brussels. With this occasion CALM submitted an Official Address to organizers and participants of the EU Assises of Decentralized Cooperation. 11.04.2013
